visitors
You take full responsibility for
yourself when visiting our land.
We cannot be held responsible
for any injuries, accidents,
thefts, or damages of any kind
that may occur while at
Pumpkin Hollow.

Please let us know in advance
if you are coming and how long
you plan to stay (day trippers
are welcome)..
Donations &
Registration
We depend on your generosity
to make our events a success
and make future festivals
possible. Please help out with
cash ($10 per day is
suggested) as well as food
and other gifts. All guests
should complete a gathering
registration form soon after
arrival.
Parking . . .
. . . is limited. Please carpool.
Park only in designated areas.
First-time visitors may want to
ask us where to park. Parking
or turning around improperly
can damage your vehicle, the
wildlife, and our water line. A
map with designated parking &
camping spots will be
provided. Some shuttles from
the Cookeville, Murfreesboro,
or Nashville bus stations will
be available to out-of-towners
who make advance
arrangements.
Children and their
caregivers are welcome at all
Pumpkin Hollow events. Some
activities may not be
appropriate for everyone. Use
your own best judgment and
discretion, and if you have a
concern, just let us know.
Dinners . . .
. . . are potluck and communal
at most events and are held in
the main cabin unless
otherwise announced. A circle
precedes each meal and is a
time for sharing, announcing,
and giving thanks.
Food
Please bring personal snacks,
treats, and drinks to keep in
your cooler at your camping
space. Consider bringing
items to donate to the
communal kitchen. All food &
drink kept at the main house
will be considered communal.
Please sign up to plan,
prepare, or clean up after a
dinner or lunch. If you want to
help in the kitchen & don’t know
how best to plug in, just ask.
Water & Showers
Our water comes from a year-
round spring & is fed by gravity
to the gardens and main
house. There are garden
hoses available for outdoor
showers throughout the hollow
and one shower/bath at the
main house. Showers and
baths at the main house
should be kept short. Please
share & respect others.
Pumpkin Hollow is a clothing
optional community.
Garbage
We have compost, recycling,
and refuse collection at the
main cabin. We separate
everything, so please, no
compost, glass, metal, paper,
or 1&2 plastic in the garbage.
Composting Toilets
There are several composting
toilets available throughout the
land. It is acceptable to pee in
the trees. Watch out for poison
ivy.
Camping
. . . is primitive tent camping.
People can sleep in or near
their cars only at the dome,
garden, & top meadow
campsites. We have some
indoor spaces available to
people who contact us in
advance to make
arrangements.
Critters
We have three dogs (Yellow,
Harmony, a vivacious dingo
type, & Charlie Bottoms, a shy
border collie mix, and three
cats: Chester, Adarin, & Jou
Jou.
PH is also home to deer,
coyotes, rabbits, turtles,
snakes, frogs, fireflies,
butterflies, bees, songbirds,
owls, hawks, waterfowl,
turkeys, etc. Yay!
The challenging life forms are
chiggers and ticks. Yuck! To
lessen the misery, avoid dense
woods and tall grass, shower
frequently, and/or use insect
repellent. If you can, bring
diatomaceous earth (a non-
toxic composite that
discourages the bastards) and
spread it around your
campsite.
